At the beginning Westlife was : Mark, Kian, Shane and 3 other guys and was a band called IOU.
IOU were introduced to Louis Walsh (manager of Westlife) who replaced 3 of IOU with 2 guys - Bryan and Nicky who come from Dublin.
Westlife's first name was Westside because Mark, Kian and Shane were from Sligo which is on the west side of Ireland (see card above). But they soon had to change it...(because of a merchandising companies in the USA who had the same name).
Westlife's manager is Louis Walsh, who also manages Boyzone, and they are also co-managed by Boyzone's Ronan Keating.
